This report Sept. 8 by WSMVtv.com (unrelated to the Grenda Harmer story) in Nashville tells of an attack against a female officer by a prisoner high on meth at the Trousdale Turner Correctional Center in Hartsville, Tenn. When the attack continued, other inmates reportedly came to the officer’s aid.

WARTBURG, Tenn., Morgan County Correctional Complex, Sept. 5, 2017 — Neysa Taylor alleges my letters are “fictitious,” that I seek to “circumvent” the grievance process and “select” my own “housing location and job assignment.” She is not being truthful with you. It’s a fact I’ll prove.

By Grenda Harmer, Prisoner No. 88710

Job assignment Jan. 27th, 2017, I wrote Commissioner Parker about placing me in Pro-Social Life Skills for which I’m not eligible under statute. Trousdale Turner Correctional Center officials in a Feb. 13, 2017, letter took me off Pro Social Life Skills and then illegally put me back on the register. It was alleged for “jobs and credits.” (See enclosures attached.)

They got angry with me because I refuse to allow them to get additional funding off me and exposing their illegal behavior. Then I was reassigned to clerk housing unit. See attached enclosure. The job did not exist.

[Editor’s note: Messages left at the voice mail of the CoreCivic media relations department Thursday and today were not returned. The correction department’s Neysa Taylor refused to comment on an email summarizing Mr. Harmer’s account, directing inquiries to CoreCivic. — DJT]

March 31, 2017, I wrote state Rep. Barbara Cooper proving they TDOC and CoreCivic TTCC we’re paying me for a job that did not exist and for work I never performed see attached and closures. The reason this was done is so TTCC will pass the TDOC audit fraudulently and TDOC could use the bed space. The reason Ms. Taylor falsely states that I’m not truthful is to hide Tennessee department of correction’s being completely entrenched in the fraud.

Spokeswoman says inmate reports ‘fictitious’

Housing assignment I’ve never tried to choose where I’m assigned. I merely attempts to ensure prison officials comply with housing assignment policy, which they don’t. I even sent Miss Rondeau a copy of the housing assignment policy.

Grievance process on page 13 seeing closed TDCJ inmate grievance procedures there is a provision that requires prison officials to hold multiple Grievances and process them as outlined. I force prison officials to comply with the provision on page 13 at the very top. I put this paragraph in brackets type the reason prison officials hate enforcing that provision is because it allows the seven-day time limit to expire, allowing prison officials to dismiss many grievances. Prison officials know federal law requires inmates to file grievances first before filing a section 1983 lawsuit, which is what I’m preparing to do. It’ll be filed no later than Jan. 31, 2018.

I’d never been bounced around to so many prisons if my letters were not truthful. The reason Ms. Taylor sent you a response saying it appears. Unlike my letters and response to you, Ms. Taylor is very evasive. Ask Ms. Taylor about the correction department’s audit of TTCC. Ask her about the 2,000 plus jobs TTCC fraudulently created. Inmates were given jobs only on paper so TTCC could pass the audit. There is only about 300 to 350 actual jobs when I was there.

The reason I was transferred from TCIX to TTCC on 7-21-16 from TTCC to SCCF on April 5 2017, and from SCCF to MCCX on July 2, 2017, is because I’m exposing wrongdoing a prison officials. Ms. Taylor is, like her bosses and co-workers, gifted in hiding the truth.
